Integrating Mindfulness in Times of Change

Facilitated by Liliana Bejarano-Cryer

This session is being offered in Spanish with English translation.

Our ability to regain mental clarity in the midst of chaos, to concentrate in the midst of any activity, to adapt to the constant changes in life and to manage our anxiety and emotions is essential for both professional success and living a happy, fulfilling life. A regular practice of mindfulness can help us develop all these important skills and also provides us with an excellent alternative for stress management and ability to increase our sustained focus and attention, especially in times of unexpected change.

In our workshop, we will learn how to start setting up formal and informal practices. We will learn to use sustained focus and attention through breathing techniques and sensory anchoring. We will also learn about the stress response and how Mindfulness can help us to recover from it. In the second part of the workshop we will learn about mindful listening and how this one technique can improve our relationships through intentional focus on the present moment.
