About Unity of Fredericksburg

Unity sees God as Universal Spirit, the loving source of all that is. God is the one and only power in the universe and is, therefore, involved in and engaged with every aspect of life and existence.

Unity is a spiritual movement founded on the universal and practical spiritual teachings of Jesus. We view Jesus as a master teacher – the great example, rather than the great exception. Most people see Unity as a spiritual way of life – offering tools for living an abundant and meaningful life – rather than a religion.

Unity embraces all people, regardless of age, race, sexual identity, creed, gender, religion or lack of religion. We believe there are many paths for a spiritual journey of discovery about God and the universe. We see truth in all teachings, and fully support the freedom of each individual to seek the truth for themselves.

Whether you have a church home, have never joined a church, or already practice Unity principles, we welcome you as a kindred spirit who is learning to apply spiritual principles in pursuit of a happier, healthier, and a more meaningful and abundant life.

Unity promotes a way of life that leads to health, prosperity, happiness, and peace of mind. We believe that all people are created with sacred worth, and we strive to reach out to all who seek support and spiritual growth. Therefore, we recognize the importance of fully embracing all people in ways that are loving and unifying, not divisive. Unity offers practical spiritual teachings that empower abundant and meaningful living. Unity teachings continue to evolve as we identify, embrace and apply spiritual insights and the spiritual implications of new discoveries.

Meet the Minister

Reverend Sarah Phillips started her Unity journey in 2006 and became a Licensed Unity Teacher in 2016. She was ordained as a Unity minister in 2020. Her passion for ministry really started in 1999 when she became a Spiritual Life Coach. Becoming a Unity minister was a natural evolution of her own journey. Her personal practice includes meditation, Tantra, Qi Gong, working out at the gym, and ensuring balance between connecting with others and alone time. Her passion for being a purposeful creator flows in all areas of her life. She creates art, safe space, and most importantly, she creates her own life experience. Her mission in life and in ministry is to help others create the life they want to live.
